Hear from our team

Sami

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

3 years with Kerin Health

“Starting as a new grad at Kerin Health was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I’ve had so many opportunities to explore community physio, private practice to sports physio, Pilates, hydrotherapy, and more. I’ve developed a broad range of skills and built up confidence across many different areas.

The support, laughter, and encouragement we share at Kerin Health every day has made this such a rewarding place to grow as a clinician and a person.”

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (connect therapy)

"After 12 years working as a community OT, I found myself seeking a role with greater flexibility as I re-evaluated my future career path with two young children. I took the opportunity to apply for the Kerin Health Connect Therapy team in 2024 and it has exceeded all my expectations. From my initial conversation with the director Rachel during the application process, to meeting the whole of the Kerin Health team; I have felt supported and encouraged to grow as an OT in this community.

Kerin Health has provided me with complete control over my working hours and caseload to suit my lifestyle and work life balance. My caseload is diverse with no two days being the same and I am provided with opportunities to attend regular team days and professional development within Kerin health. I am very thankful to be part of the Kerin Health community."

Carmen

CLINICAL MANAGER & EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

7 years with Kerin Health

“Working at Kerin Health has been such a rewarding part of my career. I’ve experienced so much personal and professional growth while being surrounded by a team of women who genuinely support and build each other up.

As an Exercise Physiologist, I’ve been able to continue developing my skills and work collaboratively to achieve meaningful outcomes for our clients. Returning from maternity leave, I felt supported with flexibility and understanding, which made that transition so much easier.

Stepping into the Clinical Manager role has been an exciting next step, giving me the opportunity to grow as a leader while still staying connected to the clinical work I love.

What I value most is the culture, everyone is on the same page, working toward the shared goal of supporting our clients and building stronger rural communities. I’m really grateful to be part of a team that values people, growth, and the impact we have.”

Ruba

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (CONNECT THERAPY)

1 year with Kerin Health

“I’ve genuinely loved working with Kerin Health as a paediatric occupational therapist. The Connect Therapy model combines teletherapy with on-the-ground Allied Health Assistant support, which means children in rural communities can access engaging and meaningful therapy in a way that really works for them.

What I appreciate most is how supported you feel, even when working remotely. There’s a strong sense of collaboration across the multidisciplinary team, and it’s always easy to reach out, share ideas, and problem-solve together.

I’ve also had the opportunity to build my own face-to-face caseload in my local rural community, which has been incredibly rewarding and has made a real difference for families. I feel trusted in my clinical practice and have been supported to grow into a senior role, developing my leadership along the way.

Kerin Health truly celebrates each individual, creating a culture where you feel recognised, valued, and supported.

It’s a workplace that not only allows you to do your best work, but also makes you feel part of a genuine and supportive community.”

“Working as a physiotherapist at Kerin Health in Parkes has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The team is supportive, collaborative, and genuinely committed to delivering high-quality patient care. From day one, I felt welcomed and valued, with plenty of opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.

The clinic fosters a positive work environment where knowledge-sharing and continuous learning are encouraged. The management and administration teams are approachable and helpful creating a culture where staff feel heard and respected.

Felicity

SPEECH PATHOLOGIST (connect therapy)

3 years with Kerin Health

“I have been working as a Connect Therapy Speech Pathologist for Kerin Health for over two years and I’m excited to share my experience with you.

Due to changing personal circumstances I wanted to find a way to continue doing the therapy I love while also living where I want and travelling frequently. I was put in touch with Kerin Health who offered such an opportunity and we set to work creating the role. I naively assumed that working online with an already well connected team would result in some feelings of isolation and lack of connection. I was also worried that I would struggle to provide the same standard of therapy through a different medium. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Right from the start, Kerin Health did everything possible to make me feel valued and a key part of the team. I was given the space and trust to develop my way of working while also given as much one on one time with my colleagues as needed. Hybrid meetings were quickly arranged and I was able to develop meaningful relationships with my colleagues and feel supported within this new role.

I was given the means and resources to develop therapy sessions for children that were online but no less effective than in person. Whether I needed certain online tools, microphones for the clients or someone on the ground to support a more difficult session, Kerin Health didn’t hesitate to support and facilitate these needs. I’m able to carry out effective and high quality therapy to my clients from the comfort of my own home.

Professional development is a cornerstone of working within Kerin Health and discipline-specific meetings mean that both formal and informal upskilling takes base regularly. This role has been a fantastic opportunity to develop other areas of practice and also share my expertise with my colleagues.

If you’re looking for a new way of working that gives you the opportunity for flexibility, professional practice and development, look no further than Kerin Health.”
